what is MCR?
MCR is an acronym for my chemical romance, my chemical romance is a rock band from new jersey that formed in 2001. the band consists of the members gerard way, mikey way, frank iero, and ray toro. gerard being the lead vocalist, mikey being the bassist, frank being the rhythm guitarist, and ray being the lead guitarist.
gimme some facts!!
-MCR is often associated with the emo genre but the term was rejected by the band.
-gerard way was influenced to form MCR after seeing 9/11.
-MCR got their name because mikey way saw the title of ecstasy: three tales of chemical romance and recommended it to gerard way as their band name.
-MCR broke up in 2011 but came back in 2019, and they have stayed together since then.
